Slight Complication

Happy International Month of Shoes (IMOS)!!

Well, I've had some technical difficulties lately. I meant to set The Brits to post on Saturday. Flower Girl was supposed to go up on Friday. Oops! I think it was my mistake. But I could always blame technology...

Today, I'm feeling ethereal. I want pretty pastels and I want it to be summer-y. In Austin, we get snow approximately 8 hours a year. The weatherman said that we might get a light dusting today, so I'm so excited. But cold. So I'm going 110˚ weather for today's outfit.

It looks so pearly! I love the little flower! Now if it's really 110˚, all I wear is a swimsuit. But this is a fashion blog. I think that a short little skirt would work too. Your legs don't have anything touching them, so that helps a smidge.

A few minutes of pure reality later, I realized that the skirt I'm looking for doesn't exist. All I see are maxi skirts, denim skirts, or A-line skirts. I want something light and flouncy! So I think I need to find an alternative: shorts. Big surprise, huh?

These are so utterly pretty. They're light, short, and not bam-in-your-face-I-love-bold-pattern-and-color. And they also come is pastel blue!

For the shirt, I could take the easy way...

like this...

Or this.

Or I could do the other easy way...

Because there really isn't a hard way! It's summer! -Er, we're pretending it's summer. Because I'm cold.

Happy IMOS! And happy winter!

Roxy part ii

Hello there! Happy fall!

The colors are so fall-ish! I love the way it looks worn-in and well-loved.

Happiness! The tribal stuff is so cool!

I love the red-ish/pink-ish embroidery! I don't know why, but I love the way the sleeves are a little longer, but they don't cover her hands. It feels cozy when it's cold.

Lately I've been loving the kinda baseball-y shirts. I like the sleeve length. The colors are pretty, too. My favorite part is the navy stripes!

I. L.O.V.E. C.O.R.A.L! Especially with the gray and white stripes! So pretty!

Plaid dresses are so picnic-y! I love the fall colors! It would be so pretty with a charcoal cardigan!

I love hoodies. I wear them constantly! I love the colors! My only problem with it is that it's more
spring-y, so I'd need to wait to wear it.

It looks so comfortable! I love the I've-had-it-since-the-beginning-of-time look. And the stripes!

Hello, cardigan! I think your name should be fall in the form of a cardigan! I love plum. I love gray. I love charcoal. I LOVE THE GIGANTIC BUTTONS!!!!!!!

Happy October! Autumn feel so refreshing!

Roxy part i: Accessories

Roxy is so California. I live in Texas so I don't exactly need a wetsuit, but I love their clothes!

I love cross-body bags! Especially in leather! It's the perfect size for a phone and some money.

I love the colors and stripes! It reminds me of cookies and cream! I love it!

The plaid looks so cool! I don't know where/why I would use this, but it's so cute!

Mixed materials are "in" this season, and I like some mixed material items, but not everything. I love this!

The stripes are my favorite part! I have so many large bags, and I use them all. One more couldn't hurt!

I love the cheery color and the way the sides are different from the front!

This walks the border on busy, but I love it! What can I say? I love bright stripes!

Haha! A beanie! I love love love the color! If I wore hats, I would definitely wear it! I just can't pull of a hat like that! I could do a fedora, but I wouldn't wear it enough to justify the cost. Sad.

I love bright watches! And yellow is my favorite color, so, naturally, I love this watch!

It's kind of retro, in a cool way. The only problem is that it harder to tell what time it is when there aren't any numbers!

I love the happy color! I don't normally love red, but this shade is so captivating!

I love the edgy fur with the buckles! Coolness in the form of leather and fur!

The gray is so unexpected! I love the laces!

Lately I've been loving the tribal, Native American patterns (I'm part Cherokee)! I like those colors together, but I'm not enamored.

I love Roxy! Every year, when we go skiing in Utah, we go to the Roxy store! I don't think there's a Roxy store in Austin. We have Tyler's, and they sell a lot of Roxy stuff!
